LAND MATTERS 20.0
LAND MATTERS 20.0
SIX (6) REASONS YOU SHOULD ALSO INVEST AT IBADAN
Over the years, there have been debates about the standard of living in different cities of Nigeria.
Ibadan, the largest city in Nigeria is fast becoming
an upmarket center and a real estate investment hub.
Here highlighted are six reasons you should invest at Ibadan:
1. THE COST OF LIVING
Have you ever wondered why people who grew up in Ibadan cannot just live elsewhere even when other cities are better developed and prettier? The
reason is simple! Ibadan is a city that is very affordable to live no matter your social status.
2. THE LARGEST CITY IN NIGERIA
Ibadan is the largest city in Nigeria and is becoming speedily urbanized. Ibadan is
definitely a center of attraction.
3. CONTAGIOUS LIFESTYLE
If you've ever lived in Lagos and Ibadan, you would be quick to point out the expensive social life of Lagos. Unlike Lagos, the social life style in Ibadan is not fake and it is contagious.
4. TOURISM AND ADVENTURE
Ibadan is always bubbling with activities. The city has also become the face of tourism in the SouthWest. It hosts the premiere University in Nigeria, University of Ibadan. It also boasts of tourist centres, e.g. zoo, malls, gardens, museums,
buildings, tower, parks and many more.
5. CHEAP TRANSPORTATION
Cost of transportation in Ibadan is far lower than that of Lagos. 100 naira in Ibadan can take you to a lot of places.
6. SOCIAL VIBES, PARTIES AND NIGHTLIFE
Have you ever spent your weekend in Ibadan?
The vibe is felt in the air and the parties colourful and engaging.
Some people usually leave the stressful life of Lagos to spend their weekends at Ibadan. Ibadan is the home of _Owanbe_

UPDATE
“He is not a full man who does not own a piece of land"- Hebrew Proverb.
UPDATE:
More reasons to invest in Ibeju Lekki axis👇👇
LAGOS STATE GOVERNMENT COMMENCES THE SIX LANES DUALIZATION OF THE LEKKI – ELEKO ROAD – WORK BEGINS FROM OSOROKO AXIS
The dualization (six lanes) of the Lekki Epe Expressway has begun, and the Lagos state Government is doing all possible to see that construction of the road is met before the year ends. Vehicular movement in that axis has risen up to 60% since March this year and Commuters are quite relieved of the fear of congestion on the axis since the commencement of the dualization.
“It is now clear that we have to dualise the Lekki-Eleko Road beyond the Zone in order to withstand the influx of vehicle that will be making use of the road to access the Zone. With this, we will be able to sustain the investments in the area.”
Ambode expressed optimism that with the Lekki Deep Sea Port, Dangote Refinery and Lekki Airport coming on board, the Lagos East axis would witness massive economic turnaround within the next two years.
Besides, Ambode also commended residents for the peaceful atmosphere witnessed in the Zone in the last one year, which, according to him, was crucial to the development recorded in recent time.
He said about 800 hectares of land would be handed over to the Zone within the next six months for further development.
“The overall interest is for the residents of Lagos because aside that we will grow the GDP of the state, this place will help to reduce unemployment and capacity for the future,” he said.

LAND MATTERS 19.0
*LAND MATTERS 19.0.*
"There is no feeling like watching the world cup matches in the comfort of your own home."
*FOOTBALL AND REAL ESTATE: THE NECESSARY CONNECTION.*
The round leather sport, football, is a beautiful game. As the most popular sport in the world, it connects minds, breaks all barriers and dislocates all divisions and ill-feelings. It is the biggest unifier.
At the same time, apart from being a sport, football is a big-time money spinner. The income generated from the industry is more than the GDP of many nations put together. The industry is projected as the 17th largest global economy.
On its own part, Real Estate, as a global phenomenom and basic means of survival, is relevant to every human activity.
We are currently in the season of the most celebrated football competition- the World Cup. Nations battle for this trophy once every four years. This period parades the best in terms of facilities, infrastructure, technologies and human resources that the world of football has to offer.
In this brief exposé, we dare to ask: What are the necessary connections between Football and Real Estate?
*One, the football field:-*
The football field is a mass of land. Also, stadium are constructed round the field to host fans and enthusiasts. Evidently, the sport rests upon the super-structure of Real Estate.
*Two, the Football Players:-*
Footballers are highly paid. They amass quite a fortune within a short period of time. The danger of this, is lack of prudence, planning and management. Unlike other careers, however, footballers retire relatively early. Many reach the peak of their career in their late 20s and by their mid-30s, their legs become tired and they retire. For this reason, smart footballers during their active years preserve their wealth in Real Estate. A study of world famous footballers shows that they have expansive Real Estate investments. This is true for Ronaldo, Messi, Iniesta, and the likes. These people surely have sound financial advisers.
Will you also tread the path that the wise tow? Preserve the value of your money by investing in Real Estate. Retire into a lifetime of bliss and happiness.

LAND MATTERS 17.0
*LAND MATTERS 17.0*
"I always felt very secure and very safe with real estate. Real estate always appreciates"- Donald Trump.
*THINGS TO CONSIDER BEFORE MAKING LAND PURCHASE:-*
Certain considerations must weigh on one's mind before making any land purchase. These should inform one's decisions and guide the choices to make:
1. *LOCATION:*
It is a common saying that for one to reap great returns on land investment: location is everything!
The value placed on any land, more often than not, is always depended on the location. This also largely determines the prices of land. A land proximate to massive projects, developments and business concerns is bound to appreciate faster than anyone else. You know that Ibeju Lekki is the best location to buy land in Africa today for this reason. Don't you?
2. *EXISTING RIGHTS:*
Enquires about the status of any land as regards this is germane. Such interests may vitiate the title of a new purchaser. By existing land rights we mean, mortgages, leases, charges, liens, etc.
In recent times, findings have revealed that some people's purchase claims are simply subleases. Land can be leased for as long a term as 99 years, the right of such lands reverting to the lessor or his heirs after the expiration of the term. Anyone who "buys" such lands have only acquired a temporary interest.
3. *GOVERNMENT ACQUISITION:*
Due diligence must be conducted to determine government's interest in any land.
For this purpose, there are two forms of government's acquisition: committed and non committed (global) acquisition. It is not safe to buy any land under any of these acquisitions. However,a land under non committed acquisition, when concerned aborigines demand, are often released upon the prerogative of the governor by an excision process. A land under committed acquisition is a No, No! Government can decide at any time to use such lands for their specific purposes and all structures erected on them can be destroyed. Even such unlicensed "squatters" can be prosecuted.
